Dennis Ortiguera began his legal career in the Philippines. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University and was admitted to the Philippine bar in 1994. In the Philippines, Mr. Ortiguera engaged in the general practice of law - advising corporations, representing banks, shipping companies, airlines and individuals before courts and various administrative agencies.

In 2001, Mr. Ortiguera received his Master of Laws degree in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law from Fordham Law School. He is admitted to practice before the Federal and State courts in New York.

Mr. Ortiguera was appointed by the New Jersey Department of Banking as subject matter expert to the committee that overhauled New Jersey's Licensed Lender's Examination and has also written several articles on immigration issues.

Prior to joining Lubiner & Schmidt in 2005, Mr. Ortiguera worked in a New York law firm concentrating on family and business immigration matters.
